Located on 15 pristine acres, Rivendell is host farm to Lambert  High School Equestrian Team, The Rivendell High School and Middle School Equestrian Teams, and the Mill Creek High School Equestrian Team.

Established in 2004, Rivendell is a family-owned and operated business by mother and daughter, Cheryl Reyenger and Rachel Abel. According to mom, Cheryl, Rachel is the equestrian in the family, having ridden for 26 years. She has competed successfully throughout the United States and Canada. When the family lived in Wellington, Florida, Rachel competed in the world class Wellington Winter Festival training with Bill Schaub.

Riding since the age of 6, Rachel went on to become the Junior Medal winner at the age of 11 in the Chicago Circuit. After moving on to Jumpers, she competed with top riders in the Canadian Circuit with the great riders Ian Miller, Jill Underwood, Eric Lamaze, and Grant Field.
Rachel has been teaching since the age of 23. As Rivendell’s trainer, Rachel is not only a past award-winning competitor, but an award-winning trainer teaching Hunt Seat Equitation. In Rivendell’s first year competing in IEA, the Rivendell Equestrian Team was Zone Champion qualifying for Nationals held in Maryland. Rachel has sent her teams and individual riders to IEA national competitions every year.
